We specialise in Pre and Postnatal exercise sessions in Bradford and surrounding areas, to help you create a healthier environment for you and your child/children.
The classes are interactive to help with mum and baby bonding as well as babies socialising with other babies, sharing tips/advice relating to healthy eating and exercise. Mums being able to meet other mums and share their experiences is vital too to benefit their wellbeing. We offer suggestions also or show mums how to safely hold their babies during many of our exercises. For example we find that many babies like to sit on their Mummies tummy while mum does the floor work, or if really young lie on their Mummies chest, it is a case of safe instruction as many mums may be new to exercising with babies. We plan sessions that are delivered at the pace of both mum and baby, so whatever the need of your little one is this becomes the focus. Classes are suitable for all regardless of your exercise history. The programmes we deliver are provided by qualified fitness professionals who create a warm and friendly environment packed with useful hints and tips, and are structured to be fun, safe with plenty of teaching points and effective. Therefore the feedback we have received is that the sessions are relaxed, helpful and not pressurised, which is certainly one of our aims.
As we all know, having a baby can be an expensive time. This is why we make sure the prices of our sessions as kept as low as possible, making them affordable to our new mums and mums to be.
We are passionate about your wellbeing and strive to give you the best classes and information we can so that your pregnancy and recovery is as healthy as possible.
Healthy 4 Life is here to help give you the confidence and support your need to continue to exercise throughout your pregnancy and beyond
To get you started...we have listed below 5 important steps to ensuring you have a healthy pregnancy
Whether you’re pregnant or trying to conceive, these five simple tips will help establish a healthy foundation for you and your baby
1. Supplement Your Diet
One thing that is essential to making sure your baby is getting all the essential nutrients it needs is taking high quality prenatal supplements and purified fish oil. Another important thing to note is, try not to skimp on quality or price. Meaning, don’t buy your supplements from somewhere that also sells motor oil!
2. Eat Fresh and Organic as possible whole Foods
When you’re pregnant, the thing is literally forming the very building blocks to grow your child is what you eat. Healthy prenatal diets that are full of nutrients and free of toxins you need to focus on whole foods and organic produce. These too can be supplemented for ease and convenience
However it is best to include leafy green vegetables, whole grains, beans, nuts, seeds, fresh fruit and a variety of brightly coloured vegetables in your diet..
3. Stay Hydrated
Drinking plenty of water is essential for a healthy pregnancy. Keeping yourself hydrated will keep your energy levels up and help ease some of the discomforts. Water doesn’t just transport vital nutrients from your blood to your baby; it also helps to prevent water retention, constipation, haemorrhoids and dehydration
Tip: Add some fruit and mint to your water as an added natural flavour and nutrient boost!
4. Regular Exercise
There are lots of benefits to prenatal exercise including more energy, lower chance of gestational diabetes, an easier labour, a healthier baby, quicker postpartum recovery, better sleep, and a healthier immune system… just to name a few.
Our classes are a great way for you to keep fit and healthy all the way through your pregnancy. They are also a great way to meet other like minded mums to be. Check out our time and prices page for the prenatal exercise classes in Bradford and surrounding areas.
5. Ditch the Toxins
From the kitchen to your makeup bag, toxins are in every corner of your home. It might be a good idea to switch to simple and effective natural cleaning products. A lot of companies these days make non-toxic natural cleaning products. You can make your own natural cleaners at home too. For a quick all-purpose cleaner, just mix a 1:1 ratio of white vinegar to water and add a few drops of oils such as lavender, rosemary or tea tree oil.
It will also be good to try and avoid ingesting harmful chemicals from plastics that leak into your food. Switch out your plastic food containers for glass ones. If you don't want to spend money on a set of glass storage containers, reuse glass jars you already have like jam jars and pasta sauce jars.
It is entirely possible that you will have a natural healthy baby without following these steps but doing them will drastically increase those chances. They are simple and easy things you can start doing right away!
